Ferula Gummosa is one of the useful medicinal plants belonging to the Apiaceae family. It is a large Umbellifer plant that grows wild mainly in Middle East. Among several species, the only natural source of “soft Galbanum” is the  endemic Ferula gummosa (or galbaniflua).                 

Galbanum gum

Galbanum is an aromatic gum resin obtained from Ferula gummosa. Galbanum resin has been widely used as incense and in perfumery since ancient times.
